When dealing with financial research and recommendations, timing around information is crucial.
In addition to email and SMS, a mobile phone application with push notifications was the solution for immediate and worldwide access to newly published content. Push notifications helped user engagement and the additional service helped improve user retention. Having a framework to work off existing publishing APIs meant that a new business could launch a mobile phone application within a few weeks.
Paid subscribers can access their subscriptions via Android and Apple devices with access to updates, articles, portfolio data, and reports. This was a “reader” app that supplements their online subscription via the web application framework.
Push Notifications included two communication channels, one for published Editorial content and one for promotional Marketing content.
